Ashtanga Based Yoga Classes in the Hamptons

Ashtanga Variations
Each class will begin with the invocation and standing poses. After that, we’ll see where the practice takes us– including poses from the first three series of Ashtanga and some playful improvisation. We will end with the finishing poses and closing prayer. This is a vigorous class based on the principles of the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga. Suitable for all levels of student, as long as you are prepared to move and sweat and be mindful about working at your own pace. Be prepared to sweat, and to smile!

Ashtanga Style Yoga - Level 1/2
Breathe through about HALF of the primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga. More appropriate for the beginning/intermediate student who wishes to exploe Ashtanga Yoga but may not yet be able to keep up with the "full primary" class. The Surya Namaskar, standing poses, and some of the seated postures will be explored and taught at a slightly slower pace, but still expect to be invigorated and challenged!
