You may have noticed a surge in popularity when it comes to cannabis and its related products. While marijuana is still mostly illegal in the U.S., there’s a new by-product that has begun to make waves in the health industry – CBD oil.
CBD is a cannabinoid, just like THC, except that it has no psychoactive properties. This means that patients who just want the health benefits from cannabis can now take something that isn’t going to get them high.
This is a huge revelation in the health industry and certainly indicates that CBD isn’t just another health fad. It’s no surprise then that there are many companies out there trying to make a tidy profit from this new product.
You can’t trust them all, though. Let’s review one of them and decide where they sit on the trust scale.

There’s nothing like feeling that a CBD oil company really knows what you’re going through. The best types of health companies are the ones that are backed and endorsed by people who have real health conditions and have used the product to help them get better.
Treat Well is one of these companies. In fact, it might not even exist today if the owner hadn’t gotten sick. He was doing very well for himself on Wall Street and appeared to be the type of person who didn’t need to start his own company.
However, circumstances changed, and he ended up developing meningitis. This caused him to fall into a coma, which he claims CBD helped him recover from. As a relatively new natural remedy, it’s always encouraging to hear real-life success stories that seem to wholeheartedly back it up.
What is a little frustrating about this company is that you have to be living in California in order to benefit from the products – a little ironic considering he started out in New York. Either way, Treat Well’s products are well-known and popular in the CBD oil community down there.
When it comes to their products, their tinctures are by far the most popular. This company is also a fan of making their products full-spectrum, which means incorporating other cannabinoids in order to achieve the ‘entourage’ effect – a scenario where more than one cannabinoid is used and combined to have an even more significant impact on your health.
They even include a CBD oil tincture for your pet, so that the whole family is covered. Again, while you can’t actually get Treat Well’s products online, they’ve made it really easy to find a dispensary in California that sells them.
Treat Well, like many other companies out there, claim that they lab test all of their products and each new batch they create. However, our problem with this is they haven’t published any CoA’s on their website.
This is a Certificate of Analysis, and it shows customers the results of the lab tests so that you can be guaranteed a product that’s both high in purity and potency.
Another thing that they do which we’re not so sure about is that they advocate for ethanol extraction, instead of the popular CO2. It’s well known in the CBD oil industry that CO2 is by far the safest and most efficient form of extraction.
Using ethanol in your extraction process does run the risk of including unfavorable material in the final product, which we’re not too excited about.

Final Thoughts
All in all, we’re tempted to feel compassion and conviction for a company like Treat Well. Not every CBD oil company is borne from a real-life health issue, so there’s a level of empathy and relatability there that not many businesses can achieve.
While we love this aspect about them, we aren’t too impressed to see that they haven’t bothered to published any Certificates of Analysis on their website. They claim to put each batch through lab testing, but until we can see irrefutable proof this is only heresy.
It’s essential when you’re buying your CBD oil products that you make sure they have been verified by lab reports, otherwise, you have no way of knowing whether they are safe for you to take or not.
With this in mind, we can’t recommend Treat Well as your go-to CBD oil company.
